A Day at the Waterford Fair

Join us for a wonderful autumn day trip to the Waterford Fair! Founded in 1733 by Pennsylvania Quakers, Waterford, Virginia is a beautifully preserved 18th- and 19th-century mill town. It is one of only three villages in the entire United States designated as a National Historic Landmark District.
First held in 1944 to raise funds to save the town’s original buildings, the Waterford Fair is the oldest juried crafts fair in Virginia. As you stroll through the streets where nearly 65% of the homes were built before the Civil War, you will step back in time to explore vibrant artisan crafts, watch living history demonstrators, and enjoy traditional music.
