Shippensburg University Community Orchestra: Beethoven! 4/23
April 23 @ 1:30 pm - 5:00 pm
The Shippensburg University Community Orchestra, directed by Dr. Mark Hartman, presents a wonderful evening of Beethoven in this free musical goodwill offering to the community. The exquisitely talented Margaret Lucia (Professor in the Department of Music at Shippensburg University) joins the orchestra to present Beethoven’s dazzling and virtuosic Piano Concerto No. 4 in G, followed by one of the best-known classical masterworks of all time, Beethoven’s Symphony No. 5 in C. Minor. Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony is a surefire crowd pleaser with the dramatic intensity of the first movement blossoming into the lyrical andante of the second movement, with the heroic third movement leading into a triumphant finish in the finale. Don’t miss this exciting all-Beethoven program!
