SilverShire Farm Horse-Drawn Carriage Ride
Friday, October 23, 2026
Located in Aspers, PA – Near Gettysburg, PA
Ride through the picturesque countryside landscapes and orchards of Adams County. In the fall view the majestic colors of the mountains and surrounding hills as the trees change to yellows, ambers, and scarlets of the fall. Enjoy the leisurely and relaxing pace of your carriage as it is pulled by two gentle giants, our Shire draft horses. Along the way you will also see an Elk herd as well as a variety of other animals. As we travel through two working farms, we will narrate your journey providing you with information about the Shire horses, the orchards, and the surrounding countryside during the Civil War Battle at Gettysburg. During the tour there is a photo stop for pictures with the horses that overlooks the valley of orchards. At the end of your one-hour tour, you can take more pictures with your pulling team. If you choose, you can meet the rest of the horses on the farm and feed all of the horses treats.
