DESCRIPTION:Discover the joy and power of the written word in this immersive three-week workshop led by journalist and author Michael Ray Smith.  This series is designed to be an enjoyable\, low-pressure environment where you can explore memories\, sharpen observations\, and share your stories with your neighbors. \n     Week 1: The Spark of Writing – We’ll dive into the benefits of writing and use “flash prompts” to get the creative juices flowing. \nWeek 2: The Power of Detail – Focus on making your writing “lively” through keen observation.  We will share the short pieces written between sessions and learn how to capture the world around us. \nWeek 3: Leaving a Legacy – In our final session\, we’ll practice capturing dialogue and work on a meaningful “Legacy Letter” to pass a life lesson on to a loved one. \nWhether you are a lifelong writer or haven’t picked up a pen in years\, come prepared to transform your ideas into compelling narratives. \n  \nAll workshops held in the MacBride Education Center at the Life Center starting at 1PM \nMonday\, June 8 \nMonday\, June 15 \nMonday\, June 22
