THE ADDAMS FAMILY, a comical feast that embraces the wackiness in every family, features an original story and a dilemma that’s every father’s nightmare: Wednesday Addams, the ultimate princess of darkness, has grown up and fallen in love with a sweet, smart young man from a respectable family—a man her parents have never met. And if that wasn’t upsetting enough, Wednesday confides in her father and begs him not to tell her mother. Now, Gomez Addams must do something he’s never done before—keep a secret from his beloved wife, Morticia. Everything will change for the whole family on the fateful night they host a dinner for Wednesday’s “normal” boyfriend and his parents.

Ken Burns will be joined on stage by actor Sam Waterston, who voiced both Thomas Jefferson and Abraham Lincoln in his films, and by acclaimed author, historian, and professor Annette Gordon-Reed.  The conversation will be moderated by author and Lincoln historian Harold Holzer.

Ned & Nancy See America

A brand-new RV. A cross-country itinerary. A couple married 40 years. What could go wrong? For the newly retired Ned and his wife Nancy, a celebratory cross-country road trip turns into a comedy of errors: a hot air balloon ride gone wrong, an encounter with a biker gang, an Amish stowaway, a mugging in DC and many other twists and turns down the road. Ned and Nancy end up seeing way more of America than postcards could ever begin to describe.

Written by Martha Bolton, this brand-new show from Blue Gate Musicals combines stunning American scenery with lessons in patience, poignant moments, “Golden Oldies” on the radio and a surprise ending you won’t want to miss.

2 married people. 1 RV. 50 states. It all adds up to 1 riotous road trip.

Tickets are $70 and this includes buffet lunch and show.

Skydiving with Maytown Sport Parachute Club
9:30 AM - 4:00 PM

Details

Experience the beautiful scenery of central Pennsylvania from 10k feet & 120+ miles per hour. With unbelievable views of Lancaster and York county, stretching all the way down to the Chesapeake Bay, tandem skydives at MSPC are absolutely unforgettable.

How it works:

After a brief class, a USPA certified tandem instructor will gear you up, and escort you to our jump plane. After a short plane ride, you will take the leap over Lancaster County. With nearly 50 seconds of freefall, and a 5 minute parachute ride, you will land safely right in front of your friends and family. A tandem jump is a great way to experience the thrill of skydiving while under close supervision of an experienced Instructor.

Only 2 spots left!

**Must be able to elevate your feet from a seated position for 30 seconds**

**Must be able to be on your knees for several minutes**

CONSIDERATIONS WHEN DECIDING WHERE TO SKYDIVE

There is more than pricing to consider when choosing where to skydive. Maytown Sport Parachute Club has been proudly, and safely skydiving for over 50 years in Central Pennsylvania. MSPC is a club and not a commercial dropzone, which means they care more about creating amazing experiences than making a profit. Their tandem passengers get much more personalized training than most skydiving facilities. Our instructors will take the time to get to know you prior to the jump, and they will work with you from the moment you arrive, until you’re on the way home.

Safety is their #1 concern, so they align themselves with USPA by being a group member dropzone. The USPA (United States Parachute Association) is the regulatory body for the sport. The USPA sets stringent safety requirements for all of its member dropzones, but it isn’t mandatory for skydiving centers to be part of the USPA. This is important, because non-USPA skydive centers can set their own rules, and they don’t think that’s a great idea.

Not sure what to make about all of this? They are open every weekend (weather permitting) from 10am-sunset, so feel free to stop out and see them in action. They’d be happy to show you around, and answer any questions you may have.

REQUIREMENTS:

18 years of age (Please bring photo ID, we verify all jumper’s age)

Be in good health

Weigh less than 225 pounds (All tandem passengers will be weighed prior to the jump)

GUIDELINES:

Please arrive on time.

After your training, your jump time depends on many factors including weather, aircraft, instructors etc, we’ll do our best to make the experience as efficient as possible

Dress for the weather

Wear appropriate footwear, please no sandals, or flip flops – they would likely blow away

Sometimes weather can cause delays, you may want to bring food and drinks with you

No alcohol is allowed during skydiving operations

We love animals, but unfortunately no pets are allowed

Children must be supervised

Pass this information along to anyone coming to watch you skydive

***For safety reasons, we do not allow GoPro cameras or other small cameras to be worn on tandem jumps***
